Hi All,
Can anybody please tell us what do the system mean by 'National assignment indicator'.?
If you see payroll results>TCRT table-> within that there is one coloumn 'Indx 1'
If we try to get info about this ,system will tell us that it is 'National assignment indicator'
We would like to know what is this indicator, what is its significance and what are the values(01 & 02)?
Thanks,
Pradeep.
Hi,
I also want to know about this "Indx 1 " in TCRT table. Our's is in Canada country code.
In our case, it generated when we did run the year end adjustment and the negative amount is for the Wagetype created in TCRT table with Indx 1 value = 2.
02 /301 Employee total tax
02 /302 Income tax/regular
Please let me know if you get anything.
Saurabh

Hi
The index number points to the province code for tax calculation.
Please also refer to the table TCRTI and that gives the province for the index number you are dealing with. If there is any change in the province code, the respective tax base wagetypes will have a split based on the province
Hope this helps
thanks

Hi there,
I presume that you are looking at the table RT and not TCRT. I am referring to table TCRT for US.
The national assignment indicators are in RT table and not TCRT table.
In RT table there are 3 country assigments that are possible for any wagetype as a part of country assingments. These assignments are created generally in payroll by some of the payroll functions or operations. These are used as pointers to splits.
Further 3 splits point to some functionality in payroll based on the country specific payroll runs.
These pointers can be used to derive some calculation within payroll.
For example in the US, you can have pointers to the wagetypes /7* series based on the tax authorities.
In the table TAX the pointers are clearly described with what tax authorities does the values 02, 03 belong to such as "califronia state -02:, CA01 to 03 etc.,
if you need additional information, please be specific.
Hope this helps
thanks
