Mvt 309 vs 411

Hello,

I need to transfer material to material, but I don't have permission to mvt 309. I could use mvt 411, which also allows it... What does it look like in the system?  Can I do that?

It is not surprise that technically -posting by 309 and 411 for Material to material would be same -only issue you can come across reporting or any custom validations would fail if you use 411. I would recommend check with your SAP point of contact to provide the required authorization for 309 if that is valid business use case.

You take the take the authorization for 309 which is meant to material to material transfer as it is recommended by Jagdeep

If you do not have access to 309 movement type, please request GRC/Basis team to share access to 309 movement type to your profile as 309 represent Transfer posting material to material and 411 movement type represent Transfer posting storage location (one-step)
