Hello All,
While working on a support query on client's system I found that they have multiple persons attached to a single position (for eg. Position = Sales Manager, Persons attached = 3, not the best practice).
Now there has been a change in the cost centers of all three employees. To be able to change cost centers the employees need to be separated i.e. assigned to separate positions. What I would like to know is how I should go about separating employees so that each person is assigned to a separate position? I have created 2 more similar positions in PPOME for this purpose. Should I drag and drop persons from one position to another or what other way is there to achieve this? Please note that there is no change in position/department. Just moving persons to separate positions.
Thanks!

Create 3 new Positions, each with it's own Cost Center, and then create a "Reassignment Action" through pa40 to change the Position associated with each of the 3 employees.
Assigning more than one employee to a single position is sometimes done for "casual" positions, but it should never be done with "regular" positions.
