MTO Requirements

Dear Experts,

Please note that our customer is having either of the following requirements:

1. Sales Order schedule line dates to be updated automatically once we change the Production Order dates
2. Automatic update of Production Order dates for any changes to Sales Order schedule line dates

Can you please check and advise whether this is feasible in SAP standard and any possible workaround available in any latest SAP Version (as our client is currently on S/4 HANA 1709 version).

Looking for your early feedback on the same.

We are also exploring Strategy: 82 for testing our scenario.

Dear Experts,

Please note that for Strategy - 82 (Assembly processing with production orders), any changes to the Sales Order schedule line dates get populated to the Production Order during Sales Order item availability check.
But any date (Basic Start/End) changes at the Production Order level does not affect the Sales Order schedule line dates.

Can you please check and kindly let me know the trigger at the Production Order level so that the update to the Sales Order schedule line dates is reflected.

Hi, 

If we use planning strategy group as 82, Assembly processing w. production orders, the dates that are there in the sales order will reflect in the production order and vice versa.

Hello

You should explore an assembly-to-order planning strategy, where the production order is created whenever you create a sales order, and there is a like between the sales order and the production order.
