MS project problem with Open PS

Hello all,

I need experts help with an issue I'm facing when I try to download from PS using open ps addon in MS Project 2007, it connects fine with SAP system and I can edit the setting with no problem, but when I click on download the MS project crashes and restarting.

windows 7 environment
SAP Netweaver 7.4 GUI

Hi,

The problem because that I wasn't using the latest support packages.

I'd like to share the combination I used for OpenPS to work correctly.

Windows 7 ultimate 32bit ( Sometimes it's required to update .Net framework )

SAP GUI 7.3 patch level 7 ( Support packages is important to work correctly with OpenPS)

MS Project 2007 or 2010. Both was working fine (US English and German language )

And finally install:

OpenPS addon (file name: OPENPS4MSP04P_4-20005295) (make sure you are using the latest SP service package )

Note:

After installing and configuring the OpenPS connection with SAP System, you might find the "Upload" button is dimmed, you should add this role "SAP_PS_EPS" to the user used in OpenPS connection. It enables upload from external systems.

Hi,

Please share the information regarding what program code is giving dump. Ask you developer for the technical information.

Also check the SAP Note 2261641.

I checked the SAP Note 2261641. the info there recommended to install the latest support package patches to fix the crash problem.

This was very helpful, thank you very much
