MRP profile not updating default value

Hi experts, 

I have two different MRP profile one contains default value another profile contains fixed value. 

When I replace MRP profile(default values) maintained in the material master with the MRP profile contains fixed values the changes are not updating. 

We are in S4 HANA 2023. as per the note 855603 suggested to do a code correction, but it appears it cannot be implemented with the version. 

Is there a way to fix this rather correcting it via MM17?
