Hi All,

For material xxxx.mrp type maintained as ND(No planning) at plant level. But the material has mrp area at storage location level for which mrp type maintained is VB.

ie                   MX00P---------------> MRP Area at plant level

MX00SL-------------> MRP Area at storage location level.

Now the question is This mrp area MX00SL is impacting to the MX00P, means it is creating planned orders in MX00P (ie plant level) eventhough they delete it it will regenerating again.

Kindly let me know  is there any link between MX00P and MX00SL? or is it the standard SAP behaviour to create planned orders at mrp area plant level.

Kindly guide me in this regard.

Regards,

Santosh.

For MRP type ND system is not supposed to create planned orders.

What exactly are these MX00P and MX00SL?

Also, how are you running MRP?

If it's a background job, could you check if you have maintained scope of planning (Tcode: OM0E)  and included MRP areas in that.

Hi Jeevan,

MX00P and MX00SL these are just nomenclature for understanding where P stands for mrp area at plant level and SL stands for mrp area at storage location level.

Since i dont have access to OMOE i coundnt able to check it.

there is no relationship between mrp area at plant level and storage location level right?

Planning point of view (MRP) they both are planned separately so you could say, there is no relationship between them (unless you use special procurement key for stock transfer).

Hi All,

When we check in omiz the storage location maintained for the mrp area is different than the one appearing in the md04 screen. corrected the same and is working fine.

Thanks to all closing the thread.

Santosh.
