MRP Allocation

Hi Gurus,

Could you please let me know how can this be done automatically ?

Inventory Stock - 10 EA

Sales order-1 created on 20-10-2013 10:20 AM  with 10 EA - Delivery date 20-12-2013

Sales order-2 created on 20-10-2013 10:40 AM  with 5 EA - Delivery date 20-11-2013

Inventory stock was allocated to Sales order-1 based on the creation date and time

But for the sales order-2, there is no stock to allocate.

Is it possible to change the allocation automatically in the system based on the delivery date instead of creation date.

For manually allocation, we have back order processing.

Could you please suggest whether the allocation can be done automatically or not ?

Thanks

Lakshman

Either you can allocate the stock manaully to a particular sale order from VA02 by clicking Availability Check key or you can reschedule V_V2 which is recommended to run only in the midnight.

Hi Lakshmipathi,

Thanks for your immediate response.

Is there any setting to be made to consider the document delivery date for allocation instead of document creation date ?

Could you please elaborate your answer please ?

thanks

Dear Kumar,

In my understanding apart from this back order processing there is no other automatic method to

reallocate/reassign/change the stock to a different sales order.

Dear Mangalraj,

By using deferment period-- allocation (Means Confirmation of goods) it self can be delayed as per the days mentioned here.

Please follow my reply--through this path go to deferment period and you can press F1 here and observe.

Hi Lakshmana,

Here you can do some setting in your checking group ( like 02 or 01 or any Z ) .

There is a check box for quantity block, Do it uncheck.

So that if 10 qty is available then it will confirm your both orders . where as your 1st order does not block the qty.

So you can make your 2nd order confirmed and delivered as well.

And in mean time with new availability will recalculate and do the assignment to your previous order with your back order processing.

Hope it will help you.

Dear

In this scenario please use the diferment period in TOR customizing.

IMG>>>SD>Basic functions>>Avbl Check and TOR>>>TOR>>>Block quantity confirmation in delivery blocks>>Reasons for and Scope of Deliv.Blocks: Transfer of Req. Block

Here Remember that --it can work with the confirmation block indicator and delivery blocks.

Hope it helps you.

Note: Due to this the confirmation date can be delayed, so the stock can be issued to the later customers with advanced delivery dates.
