MRP A week out - not including arrears??

Hello everybody.

Can you help me with the issue below.

When I run the forecast in weekly buckets for the next 46 weeks, the demand for week 8 (current week) is not included. As a result the current stock figure remains unchanged from week 8 to 9 where it needs to drop by demand amount (2026+360) to enable me to consider it for future purchases.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry for shaky line drawings

Also, further to the above, it is not immediately obvious, however we have entered a Sales Order for the week and this appears as a demand, wheras the forecast does not appear.

As a further comment, SAP have got back to us and stated that if you run it on monday it should include the forecast however this won't work later in the week. However adding a sales order on a wednesday this does add to the demand.. very stange!

Hi Keith,

is there any overdue Sales Order? Please check your General Settings -> Stock -> Planning Settings, the set Days probably influences that behaviour. If it is still set to 7 you probably have to reduce it to 5 or less.

We had one similar case and raised here also an improvement request

Hi Andre, thanks for your prompt message.

I think we are OK with the Sales ordering, it is the demand from the forecast which is most troubling.. For instance running mid week does not pick up the forecast demand for that week. It seems very strange. We will try your suggestion in the sandpit however.

Hi All, we run the MRP on monday and it picks up the demand from the forecast.
