Movement type 459

Hi experts

It's possible can customize movement type 459 to force the user to perform the movement type 343 after creating material document with movement type 459?

No, you cannot force a user to enter a second movement via any customizing settíng.

I would recommend  execute both movements in back ground process.I think you are looking customer returns.If you are doing customer returns against outbound delivery POD returns then execute all the transactions in background either developing a BDC or some custom development.

If you need to perform the movement type 343 Transfer posting blocked stock - unrestricted-use stock, why do you not do it directly instead of performing the movement type 459 Transfer posting blocked stock returns to blocked stock anyway?

Can you explain how I can run the movement type 343 instead of 459 movement type?

We use two movement types because sometimes the returned material is inspected prior to release to urrestricted use stock.

I guess he meant why dont you use

453 Transfer posting blocked stock returns to unrestricted-use stock

this does in one step what you do in two steps by using 459+343

The

quantity is transferred from blocked stock returns to unrestricted-use stock and

thereby transferred to valuated stock.

With this movement you can transfer

the quantity to another storage location at the same time.
