Monitor/Manage applications in S4 HANA disappear intermittently

We have intermittent issues when apps intermittently disappear from the launchpad.

No business role assignments were changed and clearing the cache sometimes works or waiting till the next day "fixes" the issue.

Hello @KevinV1

This is usually not random authentication loss; it’s most often caused by Spaces/Pages, catalogue content, and the effects of personalisation or cache.

Quick checks

Is the app listed in App Finder?
If yes, it’s a page/personalisation issue. Reset user personalisation (User → Settings → Reset All Personalisation) or ask an admin to clear it for the user. SAP Support Portal/2661367 - Delete all user-created personalisation, such as groups (including My H...      SAP Help Portal/Managing Your Settings

Use FLP Support / App Support tools to see exactly which catalogue or role provides the app and why it’s hidden. (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+P → Launchpad/App Support). SAP Help Portal/Launchpad Support Tools

After upgrades, adopt catalogue changes in Maintain Business Roles (Manage Business Role Changes After Upgrade / Check for Changes). Missing adoptions can cause tiles to disappear until the role is updated. SAP Help Portal-Manage Business Role Changes After Upgrade, SAP Community-Review Business Role Changes before a Major Upgrade in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Ed...

Browser/cache: test in Chrome Incognito to rule out local cache; empty spaces/pages can be auto hidden if they end up with no visible tiles. SAP Community-SAP Fiori launchpad: Hiding empty spaces and pages

If the app is not in App Finder, re-check the user’s business role, such as catalogue assignments, and adopt any pending changes, then test again.

With kind regards

Chuma
