Mode resource change manually

Hi Team,

We have 3 modes in one PPM and having priority A,B,Z respectively. When we run the planning or create the manual order directly in RRP3, order gets created with picking resource 1st because its priority is higher than others.

Please let me know is it possible to change the resource in planned order either priority B mode or Z mode? if yes please guide me with steps.

Hello SDB,

Scheduling strategy strategy parameters there is  check box retain current mode. This avoids rescheduling of operation to alternative resource.

You can use the resource classification to use alternate resource with PPM or PDS.

Q1: Which work centers are considered as alternative modes

in the PPM?

A1: All work centers that are classified with the same class number

and the same characteristic value in the work center and in the

operation are relevant.

Still I have few below doubts. Please advice me

1) Is it possible to change the mode directly in RRP3?

2) And Prioriry 'Z' = manual selection. How it will work ? Do we have any option to select the Z priority mode ?
