Migration Material Master Data with MRP area S4/HANA

Hi all!

I have a problem that i dont know if there are different ways to solve…. but i dont know where is the correct option to do it…

The problem is that i need to migrate the material master data in SAP S4 HANA 1809 with MRP area level of detail.

I have a excel file to upload in the system but i’m searching the following options and it is not cover the task for the MRP area level massively:

1. Using the LTMC -> I dont see the object MRP area in both material files…
2. Using the LSMW -> I dont see the table to create and modify the MRP area data
3. Using the programme RMMDDIBE -> similar to create and modify one to one… and I have 30 MRP Areas with 250 materials and different data of each one…

Any idea to do that??? Any help is welcome!

Please refer SAP consulting note 2268045 - S4TWL - Storage Location MRP

Run report MRP_AREA_STORAGE_LOC_MIGRATION if the pre-checks detect that storage location MRP is used. The report first checks some prerequisites like MRP types, lot-sizing procedures, and MRP areas in customizing.

If the required customizing entries are missing, you have to create them manually. Follow the instructions provided by the report. If all prerequisites are fulfilled, then the report generates material master records for planning on MRP area level using the storage location material records.

After the report was performed, planning is done on MRP area level, also if MRP is performed on the start release.

Use report MRP_AREA_STORAGE_LOC_MIGRATION which perform all the necessary checks and will ganerate the missing MRP area assignments to your materials.

Hi,

I could not find the MRP Area extension template for S/4HANA 1809 on-promise version.

Check the following SAP notes.

If the above options are not working then develop LSMW to extend the MRP area.

S/4HANA cloud version it is possible.

You can use the mass processing apps we have (scope item 1RM as a guide) to extend the MRP area information. You cannot use this app to create the root object though, i.e the material.

So use the migration cockpit to create the material first as much as possible and then extend it using the tool mentioned above to add the MRP area information. You can do this via file upload, very similar to data migration cockpit.
