Dear experts here,
I am wondering if anyone here could give me a checklist for considering before making data migration from Sage Accpac to SAP B1.
I really need your respond.
Best Regards,
Chanly
Hi Chanly,
1 thing i can think of is, usually (depends on client setting) accpac master data are case sensitive. While SAP, they are normally case insensitive.
This could pose a key violation when importing lets say item code Aa0001 and AA0001.

Edy

Thanks Edy for your prompt response.
Actually, related to account code, we will revise it again, probably we create a new entity and put both SAP B1 data and Sage Accpac data to that entity. Anyway, I would like to know more about what we should concern in term of data and something that we need to prepare before doing the migration.

Chanly
Dear Chanly,
A common mistake is to migrate more than enough historical transactions. A good practice if to limit to only open financial balances.
Thanks,
Gordon

Dear Gordon,
Really thank you for your response as well as suggestion. I'm going to work into it and have a discuss about this.
By the way, do you think of any other concerns which may occur after migrate data?
I'm looking forward to seeing feedback from you as well as other expert here.
Thank you,
Chanly
