Migrate your data for make to order sales orders

We have activated the Migrate you data Fiori app to migrate Open Sales orders.  We need to be able to pass the configured options for a make to order material.  How do we upload the options (characteristics) in the templated.

Dear Customer,

To migrate the Open Sales orders, kindly use the Migration Object SD - Sales order (only open SO)

Also for uploading the characteristics, you can use the Migration Object Characteristic which also mentioned as a Prerequisite migration object of the Open Sales order Migration object.

You can either add both the migration object in one Project and then migrate it or you can migrate the Characteristic Migration Object first and then Migrate the Open Sales Order Migration object.

I believe there is a miss communication in what the question is. We have fully configured VC to perform the configuration for all products. On a sales order we are passing the base material (frame) the customer provides the fabric color, leg style, pillow covering etc. In our migration from the AS400 into SAP we need to pass the 6 series material number that represents the frame. How do we pass the options such as the fabric color, leg style etc for SAP to create a configured material variant?
