Mexico VAT tax and External tax systems

Hello,

We use vertex for calculating sales taxes for US and Canada. We are now expanding into Mexico and trying to use Vertex. We are being told that SAP only supports US and Canada for external tax systems. Any one out there that are in the same boat, if yes how did you navigate it. Appreciate your response.

Hi Sekhar, Yes, SAP is only recommend a 3rd party tax engine for USA and Canada via note number 1497956 - External tax calculation only for US, CA, PR in SAP Standard. However, Vertex does provide tax calculation solution outside USA, CA, and PR. We have done multiple successful Global implementation of Vertex. Please note: Any issue outside USA, CAnada, and PR must be solved by implementation partner/Vertex.
