How do we analyse which tables are consuming most of the memory?
Is there a report or an analysis possible in the Cloud, to show which kind of data consumes the most memory? For example data per table.
Is there another report analysis possible to see how the data usage evolves in time?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi kiaravm83 : As far as I know in SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public) solution we cannot see the memory consumption to the level of the details at the Database tables. However, you can check with your customer/partner contact if there are internal services/tools which can help capture the details of the memory consumption at table level (though this might not be a generally available report/service).
Thanks,
Saumi

Hi KVM1,
New app "ILM Advisor" released in CE2308 provides memory consumption/data footprint information for top 10 growing tables in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. As tables are be exposed and not visible in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the memory consumption metrics are computed and mapped to ILM Objects. Please refer the below documentation and blogs for more reference.

Hi, additional question. Until now I had assumed that memory meant disk space. I have the idea that the use of working memory (RAM) was intended; The more users, the more API calls, the more heavy reports, the more load on the server. Can you confirm this? What is the license parameter?

Hi kiaravm83 : In general terms memory constitutes both the persistent memory as well as RAM. When it comes to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, most of the times the memory is highly associated to the RAM (working memory) as the HANA database which is underlying your systems are the in-memory database which operates mainly on the RAM rather than legacy databases which used to interact mostly at the persistent storage layer of the disk space.\
Now coming to your question, the licenses parameters in SAP S/4HANA Cloud subscription, due to it's pay per go model dwells with the FUEs (Full User Equivalence) which means that customers or end users need not require to go into the details of the server configurations, memory etc. Hence depending on the business catalogs your end users require, the FUE's will be calculated accordingly. This can be well understood here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJxoWy6w4Qo and https://assets.cdn.sap.com/agreements/product-policy/css/service-specifications/sap-s4hana-cloud-ser... (Page 2)
On your question - The more users, the more API calls, the more heavy reports, the more load on the server. Can you confirm this?
--> This is applicable for every type of systems. The load is directly related to the umber of concurrent users processing + the amount of data being processed etc., but this is more from a performance standpoint. However, depending on the FUE's you have licensed, the main measuring point here is to see if the right business catalogs and hereby the right business catalogs are assigned to the end users as per the licensing you have bought.
Also if you want to know more about the memory sizing of the system, I would recommend you to touch base your Sales/PreSales colleagues who helped you size the systems initially. You can also check the memory analyzer here for more details - https://help.sap.com/viewer/06f36deb4c09468fa0ebd24a507e37c1/1.0/en-US/7a5637ada98c4f8fa77d2d0fb3d86...
Hope this answers.

Hi Samitra,
Thanks for your reply. How could a partner/customer use tools to detect memory usage of a server hosted by SAP (as it is a public cloud S4)?

Hi sdr001 : Can you please touch base with your SAP contact in order to see the availability of the metric C414 for SAP S/4HANA Cloud memory usage. You can get it's reference here - https://support.sap.com/content/dam/support/en_us/library/ssp/my-support/systems-installations/syste...
Thanks,
Saumi
