Hello,

i#m in the PREP_CONFIGURATION phase of a SUM upgrade and SUM asks me a question about MCOD i do not understand.

Unfortunatly the colleauge, who created that problem (and his name is mentioned in the greyed-out database schema name) did also did not know what he has done there.

So, how can i proceed the easiest way with SUM?

Whatever is in that mentioned MCOD-thing, is not relevant at all and can get scrapped.

So, how can i proceed?

Hi Christoph,

We are also facing this issue during S/4HANA Conversion while executing SUM tool. Can you please revert if you found any fix for the issue ?

Regards,

Vinod

Hi Christoph,

MCOD (Multiple Applications on One SAP HANA System) and MCOS (Multiple SAP HANA Systems on One Host) are explained in detail here :

SAP HANA Technical Deployment OptionsMultiple Applications on One SAP HANA System (MCOD)

Multiple SAP HANA Systems on One Host (MCOS)

So after reviewing , the HANA administrator should have an understanding as to which type of landscape they're using and proceed accordingly as instructed by SUM.

If you're in the middle of or due to begin an upgrade or patching activity, you should open a ticket with the upgrade tools BC-UPG-TLS-TLA component team for advice, as these SUM phase(s) warnings are usually dealt with by them, not HANA.

i.e,

3016758 - Whether parallel S/4HANA conversion using DMO in an MCOD system landscape is supported

Kind Regards

Simon
