material valuation

hi,

i am doing stock transfer from storage locn to st loctn,stock which i want to transfer is non valuated and the other material is valuated ,so how to do valuation of material which is nonvaluated.

SPRO--> logistcs general --> MM --> Basic settings --> Material type --> Define material type --> choose any material type -> make the value update tick...

hi,

my question is if i am doing stock transfer from st locn to st locn i.e

A to B mat, A mat is non valuated ,B mat is valuated,so when i transfer stock from A to B at that time only qty is updating in B , how to increase the value because ur B mat is valuated so both qty and value should be updated.

This is not storage location dependent this is material dependent...

for TP of mat to mat both should have same Basic unit of measure and same material type....

Hi,

It is not stock transfer from Str loc to Str loc for Mat A to Mat B

It is Material to Material transfer in MB1B with 309 Mvt type.

If the both Materials is having the Same Base unit of measure & same material type you can transfer the stock from 1 mat to another material in str locations.

u can make changes in value updation in tr code OMS2.

but the functinality of non valuated material is that,Material is updated only quantity wise noe value wise.

for Non valuated materials accounting documents are not crated at the time of recieving the materials..

for that u have to do TRX OMS2 deflag value updation for particular material type and plant
