Material to material transfer posting with different stock keeping unit

HI

Can any one help me

i have Material "X" is in NOS

"Y" is in Ton

I want to do transfer posting from X material in to Y material is it possible with MVt type:309 in mb1b

Hi

This is not possible in SAP. For Transfer posting from Material to Material the Base unit of Measure (SKU) of both sender and receiver should be same.

As per SAP LO501 -

"A transfer posting from material to material requires that both materials are managed in the same unit of measure."

Hi,

It is possible.

1. Define a alternative UoM "Ton" for material X and maintain the conversion formula between "Ton" and "NOS" in material master data,

2. Use MB1B (mvt 309) to convert the material X with UoM "TON" to material Y.
