Material Stock difference (URGENT)

Hi All,

Scenario: Stock check using MMBE & MB52 says that stock for Mtl 'A' is 20. But when i check for the same mtl using MB51, i see the stock level as 26. I am unable to figure why there is a difference of 6 nos. I further checked to see if this 6 is present in blocked stock or any other type of stock, but all others show as 0.

Can anyone let me know why there is a difference, is there any other transaction where i can check for the stocks. Hope my situation is clear & look forward to your inputs.

check whether this stock 6 pcs is from other sloc.

Hi

Movement type 313 is to move stock that is on Quality inspection from one storage location to another. When you save the 313 movement the stock will leave the issuing st loc and go to 'in transit' when it arrives at the receiving st loc they do a movement type 315 and this takes the stock from 'in transit' and places it in to the receiving st loc still on quality status.

Adding to above answers you can always see stock in transit using MB5T.

Dear Vivek,

Goto MM03 select view plantstock check how showing in this view.

If you see the same quantity in this view actual stock 20 is correct.

How you see the stock in MB51. MB51 is material document list her we can get the movement of the goods.

Hi Shankar,

Thanks for the inputs. In MB51, the last row shows the total of quantitfy field. In that field i see 26 nos, but while i check for the material in MMBE / MB52 / MM03, it shows 20. I am not able to figure out how the MB51 is showing 26. I am checking the material documents posted, i think there might be something i am overlooking. Will post back as soon as i figure out. The difference is caused by the movement type 315. Can you let me know what exactly does this movement do? & how is this different from 313?

Check there must be some(6 Qty) stock in trasit at receiveing Plant ??
