Material master length in S4HANA public cloud

Hi Team,

In S4HANA public cloud, I think the field length is 18 Characters.

In S4HANA on premise version, SAP gives an option to extend the field length of material master from 18 to 40 Characters.

How to activate this in public cloud ?

Hello varunarora007,

In the S4HANA public cloud, extending the field length of material master from 18 to 40 characters is not feasible in the same way as we can in the S4HANA on-premise version.

Maybe you can try things like Custom Fields and Logic (CFL), Business Add-Ins (BAdIs), and in-app extensibility using the SAP Fiori app "Custom Fields and Logic." etc.
