Material Maintenance Status for Material BOMs

Dear all,

we are creating group material BOM's (without plant) and then copy these BOMs into plant specific BOMs. Therefore all materials of the BOM (Header and components) have to be maintained in the respective plants.

Does anyone know a nice way/transaction to get an overview about which materials (of the BOM) are already maintained in the plant and which not?

During CS01 - Create plant specific BOM, SAP just lets me know "Material xyz not maintained in plant ABC" message....we have quite a lot of materials in the BOMs, means this could happen as often as materials are available and I haven't found a transaction the check if materials of a BOM are already maintained in a plant...

Any idea?

Hi Jan Hinzpeter,

It is very easy and SE16n is not required. First enter cs03 and enter the material, do not execute press F4 choose the material by Bill of material, Then click tick mark, it will display the BOM which plant avails. All the best. It is easiest steps or if you want whole data remove 500 from maximum line and get from vlookups. Thanks

Hi Jan,

Two option :

1st Once material created should be extended to all plants that might work.

2nd Make a Query of one table which displays a plant-specific material (MARC) give specific user for this Query.

Hi Jan,

In that case you can use MM60.

Hi Jan,

Please go to transaction Se16n and enter table MARC, the enter all the materials in field material number(MATNR) & execute.

You will get the details of the plant in which all the materials are maintained. Field WERKs represents plant.

Hi Ninand,

thanks for your reply. I am looking for a Transaction our users can use....unfortunately they do not have Access to SE16N
