Material Configuration in Production Order

Hi All,

I want to send the material classification details to a third party system. There are two scenarios which I have.

1. When the third party system wants material configuration details(characteristics value of a material) associated with a production order , I am using FM : VEL001_GET_CONFIGURATION.

2. When the third party system wants just the classification details of a material I am using the FM: CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS.

My requirement:

_{Third party system will send me which details they want (scenario 1 or scenario 2). Is there any generic single FM which will give me the Material classification details(in case of materials only) and Material configuration details(in case of production order) depending on what input I give.}

_{I tried using BAPI : BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL but is does not give assigned values from configuration.} I also tried passing Objecttable as AFKO and Object AFKO-PLNBEZ in CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS , but it didn't work as well.

Your help will be appreciated.

Hi Satish,

Actually, we are already using lot of custom FM's and its just that we are trying to avoid creating a new custom FM.

If there is no way out of this, then probably we will be left with no other option.

Am afraid you have any FM/BAPI for the same.
