Mass upload of the same document to equipment's available in the system

As per the new requirement, we have to attach a single PDF document to all the equipment's available in the system.

Could you please help us with the suitable resolution as mass upload option.

in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, there is no direct “mass upload” function in the standard apps to attach the same PDF to all equipment masters. Attachments are handled via the Generic Object Services in on-premise, but in Public Cloud this is restricted.

Below you will find some standard options

1. Manage Equipment App (F1514A)
• Attachments can be added manually via Services for Object à Attachments.
• But this works only one equipment at a time.
2. Mass Change Equipment App (F2171)
• This allows you change multiple equipment records but does not support mass attachment upload.

The following technical Option should be considered

• For a large-scale requirement like attaching the same PDF to all equipment, SAP recommends using the Attachment API (API_CV_ATTACHMENT_SRV).
• With this, you have the possibility to:
• Loop through the list of equipment IDs.
• Call the API to attach the same PDF file to each equipment record programmatically.

• For small volume à use Manage Equipment app and attach manually.
