Mass change in Assignment Field

Hi

I want to change assignment field for 30 documents together. Let me know if its possible.

Dear,

If it is a constant value then you can change the assignment field from FBL1N or FBL3N itself, after executing the report select those documents and click on the menu-->Environment >Mass change>New values.

Here, you give the new value in the assignment and execute then refresh the report.

Or else you can ask the ABAPer to change the assignment value, he will write a program to change those values in the documents.

Values are not constant. There are different check numbers for each document

Use T Code FCHU to update check number in the Assignment Field here you need to just update check no and document no and the same will update automatically.

If value to be updated is check number then use Tcode FCHU.

Dear,

If you run the transaction code FCHU with reference to assignment field will update those payment documents with check numbers in the assignment field. For this you have to give the parameters as, paying company code, house bank, account id (if it is different per house bank), check numbers and payment documents.

you can use LSMW to update document line items. use recording with transaction FB09.

i have updated 9000 items in 10 min.

Dear,

There may be suggestions that you can do this by selecting mass option from line item display but that will allow you to put only one value for all the fields.....

So if you want to change Assignment field with different value to these 30 docs then it can be manually or BDC....I know this may be a tedious ot weird solution but this is what we have to live with....
