Mass change hierarchy node in Profit Center master data

Hello, 

Is it possible (apart from using an API), to mass change the hierarchy node in Profit Centers ? 

I've checked the app "Edit Profit Centers - Collective" but it does not seem to cover this need.

Hello Anais. Kindly review the options below. 

1. You can use the "Manage Global Hierarchies" app to make adjustments to the hierarchy nodes under Profit Centers. Here you can Select the Profit Center Hierarchy,  Once inside the app, you can select the hierarchy relevant to your Profit Centers. You will  see options to create, edit, and delete hierarchy nodes.

You can perform Mass Changes ,  mass change functionalities available in the app to update the nodes as required. This could include changing node names, assignment of profit centers, and other hierarchical attributes. You can use Spreadsheets (if applicable).  For large-scale changes, you might have the option to export the hierarchy to a spreadsheet, make changes, and then import it back. This feature, if available, allows easier mass maintenance. Once you are done please save and activate changes  after making the necessary changes, ensure that you save and activate these changes to reflect them in your system accordingly. You can do the data upload through Excel files, which can be particularly useful for mass updates. Also you can download the appropriate template for profit center hierarchies. This template can usually be found in the ‘Import Data’ section or similar.  You can enter the new hierarchy data into the template Excel file. Please follow the template format strictly to avoid upload errors. In the ‘Import Data’ section of the relevant Fiori app, upload the completed Excel file.

2. In addition you can review Flexible hierarchies such as  profit center hierarchies that can be flexibly maintained in the Manage Flexible Hierarchies app. 

You can create and change hierarchies for profit center reporting. You can customize these hierarchies to fit your reporting needs and adapt them to your business requirements. 3. Additionally if you want to edit profit center master data then use Manage Profit Centers (Version 2). Select the profit centers you want to change by checking the boxes next to them. Click on the 'Edit' button to enter the mass edit mode. Once in edit mode, look for the hierarchy-related fields that need to be updated.

4. Lastly you can review SAP Build Process Automation to fully automate using the event mesh driven architecture. While you are in SAP S/4HANA Cloud , you can create a event that will trigger automatically the bot for uploading the hierarchy using upload template. You can learn more with documentation on Extensibility wizard and video. 

In addition you can review if you want to automate the screen navigation steps using the bot by recording web Fiori Application

Hi,

Thank you for your detailed answer. 

Unfortunatly I can't find a solution among your options. 

Our need is about the standard hierarchy, which is not visible in Global/Flexible hierarchies. 

In "Manage Profit Center Group", there is no mass modification feature. 

You mentionned "Manage Profit Centers" app, but here I also see no option to edit profit centers in mass.

Hi, sorry, I've got no soultion but I seem to hvae the same problem. I also read all of the above options, but none of them is applicable. You could actually mass change with Edit Profit Centers - Collective but not with a file upload, which is what I am looking for.
