Dear All,

Sorry to ask repetative question, but i have all the settings correct envn though the error coming out

Of 0 materials, 0 cost estimates were updated successfully Message no. CK705

find the following points:

Cost Estimate done at:- 1.12.2009

MM Open periods is : 7(10) & 8(11)

FI Open Periods :- 1 - 12

But in the process of Marking it shows the above error. As per as my knowledge, Cost Estimation done to day ( 1.12.2009) means can we mark the Price in CK24 for 11 Period. Is it right.

Regards

Dear Raj,

1.If your Costing Run date is some future date ,but the Costing Date from,Qty Structure Date,Valuation date is on

system's date, then the system will allow to release the cost and the same can be checked under Planned Price,Standard

price under Current Column in Costing 2 view.

2.If your costing run date is current date & the valuation,Qty structure date is some future date, then the system will not

allow you to release the cost.

Check with this & Revert back.

Dear Raj,

Yes, the marking can be done at any time piror to and including 1.12.09

as long as marking is allowed in that period (CK24)

In systems that I have used, the marking and release are controlled only by the Costing dates From and To.

The valuaton date specifies when the material, activity value is to be valid ie "today" or Jan 1 2010.

The qty structure date specifies when the BOM structre is valid "today" of Jan 1 2010.

Why would you use Jan 1 2010?? I have no idea, but our systems won't stop you from doing it.

Cost Estimation done to day ( 1.12.2009)

Means you can mark it with CK24 for Dec 1, not any day in Nov

You can Mark Std cost estimate for a future period.

In your case, system just Marks std cost estimate.

As the costing date from is a future date, system wont release std CE.

As soon as Marking is done, you can see the marked CE, in costing view 2 of the material master.and , it will be moved to "Current ", as and when the costing date from becomes effective.

pl check the dates and period which you are referring to.

period 11 is before 1.12.2009, and you want to mark std CE for period 11, with date 1.12.2009....??
