Mapping multiple storage locations to 1 PSA

Hi experts,

in our customer's plant we are expanding a production and warehousing and we need somehow assign one more storage location (8000) to the existing PSA (which is assigned to the stor. loc 1000). In standard, multiple mapping PSA to storage location is not possible (in PK05 it is displaying error "PSA is already used in Control Cycle, storage change is not possible). Is there any solution (for. ex. BADI) how to get around these pre-defined settings? And to do it without disrupting production processes that are already ongoing?

Customer's production is army relevant and one of their requirements is to have it separate from other "civil" production. Usage of different plant was declined.

They are using standard StRM in S/4HANA.
