Manage Substitution/Validation rules

Dear all,

we are currently facing an issue regarding the substitution of field values based on the FIORI APP "Manage Substitution/Validation rules".

Initial situation:

In case of a dedicated Partner Consolidation Unit is entered the field Customer Group should be filled with a defined field value "N". The possible field values for Customer Group are set up only in Group Reporting (master data consolidation) as no data transfer from ACDOCA is available. Nevertheless, the dimension Customer Group also contains two field values 01 & 02 from BP Content (I think) which are set up as accounting master data.

Issue:

When activating the substitution rule in FIORI an error message comes up: "Field value "N" is not allowed for CustomerGroup". If I want to activate the same rule but with "01" or "02" as target values the rule can be activated. It seems that there is an error here that the substitution rule for fields which are already be available in ACDOCA only accesses master data that is maintained as "Master data Accounting". Master data created exclusively in Consolidation is not taken into account.

Is our conclusion right? As anyone the same issue? And is there are possibility to fix this issue without creating the characteristics as "Master data Accounting"?

Dear Dennis,

Yes, for while you only can use the these rules for the Group Reporting and not for FI. Please, ask to FI team to do some Valid or Sub there and then import these data to GR.

Hello Dennis

I guess you have to set up the “Customer Group” in FI/CO master data. I saw that for GL-accounts or Profit Centers in an other case. There it was even not possible to load the data without the right CoA or consolidation area.

Dear Dennis,

The Substitution and Validation Rules app, does not considerer data coming from ACDOCA. I've the same problem here in my project. I'd like to change the Profit Center or when it is blank but it does not works. This funcionallity only works when data comes from Flexible File, e,g, the units where are out of client and this data comes from Upload Flexible File app.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, we are aware of the point that the Substitution and Validation Rules app does not work with data directly coming from ACDOCA via Universal Journal Integration. The question focus on the possibility to use master data which are created in ACODOCA, only? These master data are classified as "Master data Accounting" as they are set up in Accounting only. These master data are not created in Group Reporting a second time (duplicate).
