Make to order for configurable materials in S/4HANA Cloud

Hi experts

I understand that S/4HANA Cloud contains particular scope items for make-to-order processes with variant configuration (1YT). However this scope item is based on advanced variant configuration and requires an additional licence for a complete PLM suite.

Is it still possible to use the classic LO-VC for simple scenarios in S/4HANA Cloud or is AVC the only way to deal with configurable materials in S/4HANA Cloud?

Dear Marc,

Advanced VC is the only way to deal with configurable materials in S/4HANA Cloud. As depicted in the picture, it is only possible to use the classic LO-VC in S/4HANA on premise. But you should ask yourself the question if you want to use the classic LO-VC for new implementations, since further developments are focused at AVC.
