Maintenance Request - Effect field - configuration CBC

Hello experts,

In the app Create Maintenance Request, there is a field labeled “Effect” with options such as No Effect, Production Restricted, and Production Breakdown. How can I configure new values for this field? I know in Private Cloud, it is possible to do this in Condition Indicator > Define Operational Effects, but this option is not available in Public Cloud. Any guidance would be appreciated.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public Edition), customizing certain fields—such as the "Effect" field in the Create Maintenance Request App—is restricted compared to the Private Cloud or On-Premise versions. In the Private Cloud, you can define operational effects via the "Condition Indicator > Define Operational Effects" setting. However, this customization option isn't available in the Public Cloud environment.

In the Public Cloud, the values for the "Effect" field are predefined by SAP and cannot be directly modified or extended through standard configuration settings. This design ensures system stability and consistency across all tenants in the cloud environment.

If your organization requires additional or alternative values for the "Effect" field, consider the following approaches:

1. Feedback to SAP: Submit a feature request or enhancement suggestion to SAP through your SAP support channel or the SAP Customer Influence portal. This allows SAP to consider your requirements in future updates.

2. Custom Fields and Logic: Utilize the Custom Fields and Logic app to create custom fields that capture the specific information your organization needs. While this won't modify the existing "Effect" field, it enables you to add tailored fields to the maintenance request process.
