Maintenance Plan

Hi All,

We're now in the first phase to implement SAP in our organization and we're working in Marine Industry. I just want to ask a few questions regarding Maintenance Plan:

1- we're creating a new maintenance plan, this will use the start date for the maintenance plan as a reference or it will use the last done date for tasks in this plan and will arrange the maintenance plan tasks based on this last done date.

Example: Old Maintenance Plan 2021 with a duration of one year (Task 001 is every 9 months) Its work order has been done/completed on 9/2021.

When creating a new maintenance plan in 2022, for this task will the maintenance plan create the work order on 6/2022 (based on the last done date 9/2021 ) or 9/2022 (based on the new maintenance plan start date 1/2022).

or both above options are available in SAP and depend on our requirements and SAP consultant to do this relation.

Hi Mohammed,

After creating the new maintenance plan, you can use IP10 or 'Start' button to start maintenance and create the first order. When you do this you will receive a pop-up asking you to enter the 'Cycle start' date. The system will use the date you enter here to start counting for the next order creation date.
