Maintenance Plan vs Item

I have 20 pieces of identical equipment that share a task list with time based strategy. I made a maintenance plan that lists all 20 equipment in it's object list.  I need each object to have it's own monthlies staggered from each other, can I do that with ONE Maintenance Item, or do I need to make a maintenance item for EACH object/equipment? Please advise

hello @KerryOnn ,

If you want to track the maintenance history and maintenance cost of each equipment individually in a standard SAP Report then you need to have a separate maintenance item for each equipment. Assign the item to the maintenance plan. Please note that all the maintenance items will have same maintenance cycle therefore all the orders for 20 equipment will trigger on same day.

Yes, I need that tracking, though, obviously there is not enough technicians in the world to do that many machines on the same day. How can I have them stagger one every other day?

Also, and furthermore... I believe I want an item for each I want tracked each, but, I would want a plan for each for them to have their own monthly start day, am I correct?

In such a case you need to create separate maintenance plan for each equipment with different start date. This will create maintenance orders at different dates.
