Hi,
I have getting costing error in maintenance order when trying to save showing the error message
No price could be determined for material/batch in plant 1594
When we looked at the MO error log it said - the system could not calculate a price for material /batch
in plant 1594 for valuation view 0, because none of the valuation strategies in valuation variant 007 was successful.
The material is having split valuation type COND-1 (Batch) and moving average price is maintained 0.5.
Material header level moving avarage price and standard price is not maintained.
I have checked the costing varient through transaction
OKP6 and all the settings are in place.
The settings are as below
Costing Varient- PM01-Maintenance order
costing type- 05 maintenance order
valuation varient - 007 production order-actual
In valuation Varient streategy sequences are
1. G Future price from accounting
2. 7 Valuation price according to price control in mat. master
3. 4 Planned price 1
4 3 Moving Average price
Please advice
Thanks in advance.

Harry

Message No. CK465
As previousely said i am missing some thing so wants to mention here
In maintenance order in component tab , we are not updating the BATCH ( batch for valuation type) so it's required to update or no need to update.
Please Advice.

Hi Venkatesh,
The OSS note 633111 is related with the creation of the unit costing for a customer quotation/ sales order with dummy material.
We are getting the error at the time of saving the Maintenance Order through IW32.
Please advice.

Hi,
If everything is in place, (ie., you have costing variant, valuation variant etc correctly configured) and also material master prices are specified then error should not come ideally. If thius is not production environment, try to create one more material with price and then specify valuation category --> valuation type give price etc and then create order, save.....Check may be something you are missing.
regards,
Rajesh
Hi thyagarajan ,

Hi,
As you said the material has split valuation, check whether material master is there for all split materials, i.e, if your material has split valuation as C1, C2, C3 (three different conditions) then material master should be maintained for all three split valued materials and price should be mentioned in accounting-1 view. Check it.

Rajesh

hi
check in MM03 for the price of material 1594 without mentioning the valuation type ,then check the same with valution type.check whether all the price has been maintained
Also i think you have not mentioned the valuation type for the material entered since system is issuing the message-> the system could not calculate a price for material /batch in plant 1594 for valuation view 0
kindly check
regards
thyagarajan
