Logic For PR Generation Against Lot Sizing PK

Hi Experts,

I have a raw material which has MRP type 'PD', lot sizing procedure as 'PK', minimum lot size '2000', rounding value as '200'. I have created planning calendar for weekly basis and period begins on Monday. The dependent requirement starts from 23.03.2024 and first Monday comes on 25.03.2024. When I run MRP in MD02, it created the 3 PR on 02.04.2024. My question here is why system has not created the PR for requirements on first Monday which falls on 25.04.2024 and my second question is why MRP not created one single PR of 13400 for all the requirements of that week. It has created three separate PR of 3600, 6600 and 3200. Attaching screenshot below for better clarity.

Firstly, we can divide the requirements into 3 parts according to the period setting,

Part 1 (Green): The requirement date is in the 3.23 in the same period, because the system will consider the delivery data 5 days, so it cannot fulfill the delivery date in the next period first date 3.25, so the system moves these parts into next period.

Quantity: 2000 + 1500 = 3500, but the round value is 200, so the Qty of PR is 3600.

Part 2  (Yellow): The requirements date are in the 3.25 to 3.30 in the same period, because the system will consider the delivery data 5 days, so it cannot fulfill the deliver date in this period first date 3.25, so the system move these parts into next period.

Quantity: 600 + 300 + 1500 + 600 + 3000= 6600, and it fulfill the round value is 200, so the Qty of  PR is  6600.

Part 3  (Pink): The requirement date are in the 4.1 to 4.7 in the same period, because the system will consider the delivery data 5 days, so it can fulfill the deliver date in this period , so the requirement date is 4.2 .

Quantity: 600 + 300 + 900 + 600 + 900= 3300, and first part consider the round value, so there are 100 Qty more, so the Qty of  PR is  3300-100 =3200.

Hi @DerekDing , thanks for the detailed explanation. My question here is for second part (Yellow) the requirement date are in 25.03 to 31.03 as per planning calendar and Monday falls on 25.03. So if we considered the PDT of 5 days it will come to 30.03 which is within same period, So why system did not create the PR in this period.
