Lightweight Extension Upload does not complete in Extension Manager

Hi,

we upgraded to B1 10 SP 2311 and have challenges to upload a specific Lightweight AddOn in extension manager. We press import -> select the zip file, press upload, loading circle appears, loading circle disappares and nothing further happens.

We have used the same AddOn version in previous SAP B1 versions with success. Upload of several other AddOns works flawlessly. AddOn vendor has provided us a new AddOn version but we face same issue with latest as well as older versions. We have tried several browsers for uploac, deleted cookies, and waited 10+ minutes.

Does anyone face similar problems in SP 2311 or had it before? Any ideas to troubleshoot this problem? Are there any new requirements/restrictions for AddOns in size or safety that might not match?

We contacted of course the addon vendor but it seems they first need to prepare a 2311 environment and we need to speed up problem solving.

Thanks for any idea and help!

This is how the screenlooks after upload waiting circle disappeared

Dear Andre,

after further testing conducted on our end with the provided AddOn package, I can conclude, that is inconsistency in the vendor package between the ARD metadata file in the package and the folder structure.

In ARD file we can find following entries which are pointing to the X64Client folder structure, however the package contains folder x64Client.

Example: <File FileName="X64Client\Boleto.dll">

If the AddOn is packaged through the Extension Registration Data Generator tool, the default folder is X64Client, so this was somehow modified by the vendor. Unfortunately there is no error message from Extension Manager, that could indicate the problem hence we will check on our end to enhance the feature.

Steps to correct the package:

1. Extract the "TripleOneLW-1000247.zip"

2. Rename the folder from x64Client to X64Client

3. Package the AddOn again to .zip. Make sure that the folder structure will remain the same as in original package with X64Client and ARD file in the root folder

4. Upload new package to Extension Manager

Hope it will help!

Hi Tomas, thanks for your valuable input, I can confirm this solved the problem!
I had already tried to re-zip the AddOn but didn't notice that difference.
We will also inform the vendor about this topic.

Hi

Please check if windows system time or the time zone of the System Landscape Directory server is different from the server where other SAP Business One services are located. Please ensure that these two servers use the same UTC time.
Thank You.

Hello Nidhi,

thanks for the hint, I checked now time and settings on Windows Server where B1 is running and Linux Server where SLD is installed.
Both times are exactly matching and both servers are set to UTC+1 / CET.

We have many other Lightweight AddOns which we could upload successfully, it is only this single one that refuses to upload in SP 2311 environment.

I've seen this happen with large extension packages a few times over the years. Have you tried waiting a couple minutes after the circle goes away? Also, have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Yes, deleted cache, tried various browsers and from various machines. Kept the browser window open for 10-20minutes after circle disappeared. It is indeed big Extension with around 100MB, we thought maybe passing the 100 is the problem but also older versions that are around 95MB fail to upload.
