Licence for SAP New Group Reporting

5,494

Hi Friends,

I have understood that GR server is based on user licence if the solution is on cloud and GR licence will be GR server + user licence if GR solution is on-premise. Could any one of you let me know if my understanding is correct?.

Also is there a way we can know about GR licence at high level.

Please let me know if you need any further information from my side.

Thanks and Regards,

Ajay.

Thanks Arleigh. Just for further clarity - S/4HANA Group Reporting is licensed in blocks. Each block contains 25 entities. An entity corresponds to a consolidation unit in S/4HANA Group Reporting.

The entitlement to S/4HANA Cloud Group Reporting within the S/4HANA Cloud subscription is shown in the related service description guide in the SAP Trust Center.

Hi Ajay,

So your understanding of Group Reporting license is incorrect. Whether On Prem, Private Cloud or Public Cloud the license is completely based on the number of companies you are consolidating.

It's licensed by Units. 1 Unit of Group Reporting covers consolidating 25 companies. EXAMPLE - you have 135 companies to consolidate. You need to acquire SIX Units of Group Reporting.

Group Reporting doesn't pay attention to # of users at all. It doesn't care if you have 5 users or 500. It's all about the number of consolidation Units.

Both Cloud versions include 5 consolidation units at no charge. On Prem does not.

For actual license costs please reach out to the appropriate Account Executive.

All the best!
