Lean Service Procurement from Maintenance Order in S/4HANA2020

Hi,

The SAP best Practice for S/4HANA 2020 (On Premise) describes lean service procurement from maintenance order in process flow of Scope item BH1(Corrective Maintenance). The test script BH1-DE (SAP S/4HANA - 17-09-20) also describes the steps for procuring the lean services from a maintenance order.

However, when I try to specify service material SM0001 (of type SERV) in the component tab (FIORI app - Change Maintenance Order), I get the error 'Lean service procurement is not active in this system'.

Is the procurement of lean service from maintenance order not supported in S/4HANA 2020 (as described in best practice)?

I checked the note 2897493 which suggest custom development but it is only applicable to release S4Core- 104 but not to S4Core-105 of S/4HANA 2020.

I am not expecting custom development for the best practice scope item.

Lean services can only be used with S/4HANA 2020 with the note 2897493. However, in S/4HANA 2021 lean services are well supported from the maintenance order (only from the web-dynpro FIORI app).

I am hopeful that lean services will be supported in the maintenance task list in the next S/4HANA version 2022.
