KP98 - copy actual to budget for orders

Hi Expets,

When using SAP T-code KP98 to copy actual to budget one group of internal orders copy over with no issue but  another orders (ord. type)do not.  what could be the reason? also am not sure if there order being closed in source year, can they still be copied to target year and version? I have very limited knowledge Controlling.

Can anyone explain me on the above queries pls? .

Hi Sanjay,

One of the reasons could be that statistical data can't be copied in KP98. Please check if the orders in problem are statistical, if yes, the data can't be copied. Check below note for this:

Hi Sean,

Thank you for your reply. I just learned that the problem ones are the Maintenance order and before never used to copy thru KP98.  So user tried to copying thru trans code Ko15, after copy when we try to display in Ko13 - we get the following error:

Order XXX has invalid order category

Message no. KO022

Diagnosis

Order type XXXX has order category 30. However, using this transaction, you can only process orders of order category 01,02.

Procedure

Select an order with an order category which can be processed using this transaction, or select the appropriate transaction for order category 30.

Is there any other transaction to view the copied value for order category 30?

Hi Sanjay,

Maintenance orders are not supported to adopt CO planning values since overall palnning is not possible. I think you will get error if you use KO15 to copy the plan values for PM orders.

I have checked the order in iw33,  there is value under actual cost but not under plan cost.
