Hi all you SAP gurus,

Does anyone know of companies running a SAP muli-client setup combined with SAC and Datashere?

If yes, how did they accomplish the setup on SAS/SAP Datasphere side etc. in relation to spaces,  joint corporate reporting and so on?

Any comments are welcome 🙂

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hi Michael,

I would say, that the answer is spaces and DACs, if you mean MANDT (Mandant). If not, please ignore my response :).

Multi-Client is from DB perspective just a table field. So you can load (persist) all the data into one inbound space and share via views to different spaces representing the clients. Also share all the data into the 'all-clients' space.

Also possible to use one space and use DACs to control who can see what. I find this approach however problematic due to

#additional overhead in DACs

#space can be downed if no safety-belt is used. with multiple spaces one can control overload better.

I come from BW, so I always try to build DSP as BW
