JE 'Auto. Conversion Difference Adjustment', failed to update Project field

Hello,

I got a JE created by 'Conversion Differences' menu item and I want to update a 'Project' field for 1 line, but when I click on 'Update' button I've got a message:

You cannot update JE with "Reverse" selected; adjustment JE created automatically from conversion difference cannot be reversed 

Checkbox 'Reverse' is not selected and I'm not going to reverse this entry, just trying to update it. 

How can I update this entry, could you please help on that? Thanks!

Please log a ticket using the SAP Launchpad to report the issue. If you are not the partner, then you can ask your partner to contact the support and report the issue on your behalf.

Hi,

Can you confirm, how the entry was added to the system which is being tried to be updated and is giving the error?

Any specific steps which the user is performing to have that entry and that may give us the idea.

Thanks for the reply! 

Entry was created automatically by using a menu item 'Financials -> Conversion Differences' and after that our accountant tried to update in this entry 'Project' field manually. He was able to choose the Project code, but when he clicked on the 'Update' button he got the error:

You cannot update JE with "Reverse" selected; adjustment JE created automatically from conversion difference cannot be reversed

Hi, Can you also confirm what is booked in the entry which cannot be updated? BP or G/L Account

Actually it's for both - BP and G/L account, none of them can be updated
