Hello All,
I have this case where I'm trying to maintain the settings in a controlling area for a G/L account that is assigned as BSX in the account determination as shown below
But the problem is that when we press generate, nothing is generated although the gl account is assigned in the account determination

I am wandering if there are any other dependencies or how to generate it
Thanks
Request clarification before answering.
Hello salabulwafa_aly,
The generally balance sheet accounts cannot be created as Cost Element in Controlling area, Please refer the KBA note: 3251802. the account referenced in the issue used for Inventory posting (BSX), it cannot be cost element with category 90.

Gnana

Hello GNANASEKARAN RANGAN
Thank you for taking the time to answer
I understand that this is normally the case but if you refer to the first attachment, you'll find that it's mentioned as follows
Apply Statistically
Use
The field is only visible if the account is defined as a material account or a fixed asset balance sheet account in a depreciation area. Cost elements of category 90 allow you to track the costs of an order or project budget when acquiring fixed assets that can be directly capitalized. To achieve this, you enter the capital investment order or WBS element in the relevant field in the asset master. Asset Management ensures that when the asset is acquired, the order or WBS element is automatically included in the document. In the Controlling area, orders and WBS elements are debited statistically. This statistical debit is checked with the budget during availability control.
Dependencies
The Apply Statistically option is only visible if the account is defined as either of the following:
A fixed asset balance sheet account in a depreciation area that manages acquisition and production costs and posts to the general ledger
A material account
If you enter a CO account assignment, it is only updated statistically even for true CO objects.
So basically it can be applied statistically but I am wandering how to apply it statistically
Hi, statistical cost element is also not applicable for asset reconciliation accounts. Customer needs to have a budget checking upon direct asset purchase. Any solution or scope item that has to be activated? Thanks!

hello salabulwafa_aly,
As i updated earlier, the Cost element category 90 not supported in SAP S4HANA Public Cloud; the information shown in the help document applies for the ETO: Engineer to Order scenarios for Materials. it is statistical account assignment option in addition to the main, it is used in margin analysis.

Hello Genanasekaran,
Thank you so much for taking the time and clarifying
And you’re totally right I need the statistical account assignment for ETO scenario but until now I cannot get it to work although the GL account is a material account
So I am wandering if there are any other dependancies I might not be aware of in the public cloud
Best Regards,
Salma Abulwafa
