Issue with "Make to Order" Calculation Variant PC04

Hello,

We are experiencing an issue with the "Make to Order" calculation variant PC04 — it does not work properly. According to the documentation on help.com, there should also be a variant PPC4, but it does not exist in the system.

When trying to set up the variant in SSCUI 106410, the process fails and we receive the following error message:
“Select the key from the allowed space.”

Could you please advise how to resolve this issue or provide guidance on the correct setup?

Which configuration or product master data might be missing in order to get the sales order calculation?

Error“Select the key from the allowed namespace.” (SV019)

Cause (in Public Cloud) many SSCUIs only accept customer keys usually starting with Y or Z. Creating or entering PC04 / PPC4 SAP namespace triggers SV019, which is standard system behavior. SAP Support Portal-3261924 - Error 'Select a key from the allowed namespace' when using the SSCUI 10...

How to fix the issue in 106410 (what steps to take)

In Define Costing Variants (SSCUI 106410), select Copy A from an existing variant to create your own key in Y/Z like, YYPC4. Afterwards, specify the Costing Type, Valuation Variant, Quantity Structure, and Date/Transfer Control. SAP Support Portal-KBA 3411006 - Costing variant, valuation variant - Central KBA

According to SAP documentation Make-to-Order (MTO) Sales Order Costing , PPC4 is delivered by default with requirement classes like S46, S45, S40, S60, and 046, and uses valuation variant 001. If PPC4 is missing in SSCUI 106410, it may not be scoped or activated in your system configuration.

What you can do is go to CBC (Configuration Environment) and verify that the Sales Order Costing scope item is active. If PPC4 is not available, raise a ticket with SAP to request activation or correction of missing configuration.
