Issue with Product Migration Object: Errors During Preparation Phase

Hello SAP Community,

I am currently working on migrating the Product object using a migration object, and I encounter the following errors during the Preparation phase. Up until this stage, everything works smoothly.

Errors Encountered:

1. System error during the function module call in the sender system
   Message Class: DMC_RT_MSG
   Message Number: 203

2. System error (Portion 0000000001, Conversion object Z_PRODUCT_M0U around 123713)
   Message Class: DMC_RT_MSG
   Message Number: 39

3. _IT_IO_S_MBEW: Overwrite error: Column at serialization 10, actual column 11 (Conversion object Z_PRODUCT_M0U)
   Message Class: DMC_RT_MSG
   Message Number: 41

Context:
The migration object has been set up and executed successfully up to this phase. These errors occur during the Preparation stage of the migration process.

Could you please advise if there are any additional configurations or checks required to resolve these errors? Are there any specific areas (e.g., source system configurations, mapping rules, or settings in the migration cockpit) that I should revisit?

Hello @BurakCON,

This is possibly happening because of an outdated Migration Cockpit, if you're not using an SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition system.

If that's indeed the case, did you (or the relevant team) implement all the available SAP Notes for the app using the Note Analyzer? You can find more information about this below:

After applying these fixes, please, recreate the Migration Project with the same Migration Object and let me know if the errors are still thrown!

Hi, did the update help?

I am working on a new system and with the latest notes according note analyzer implemented but anyway get this error.

I think it has to do, that the structure in the generated function modules don't fit.

E.g. table MARC is transfered to same structure:

_it_io_s_marc = _it_io_s_marc but mbew do different structures having differnt fields _it_io_s_mbew = _it_st_s_mbew, eg. it_st_s_mbew is lacking the ML active indicator.

Did you raise an incident?

We accidentally fixed the issue by using an older migration object version for products. So I really think the problem is caused by an outdated Migration Cockpit, just like @Caio mentioned. However, I can't confirm this for sure because we haven't updated anything yet and were able to solve the problem this way for now. But if you try it, please let us know here—it will surely be relevant again at some point.
