Issue with Custom Field Data Flowing from Sales Quotation to Sales Order

We got a requirement to Create a Custom field at Sales Quotation Item level and the Value Given at Quotation level should flow to subsequent Sales Order. The field is getting created in both Sales Quotation and Sales Order but the values which entered at Quotation level are not flowing to Sales order.
