Issue with Creating an Situation Type for Outbound Delivery Notifications in SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Is it possible to add an event object for outbound delivery in the ABAP Class event category, or should I stick to the existing event object for outbound deliveries under the BOR Object Type?

I’m currently working with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and facing a challenge while trying to create an extended situation type to send notifications when an outbound delivery is updated.

In the process of event creation under the situation object, I used the Situation Object app to create a situation object for outbound deliveries. However, I noticed that in the ABAP Class event category, there is only an event object for inbound deliveries (CL_LE_SHP_WF_EVENT_INBDLV).

Later, I found an event object for outbound deliveries, but it was under the BOR Object Type event category. I used this to create the situation object, but unfortunately, it didn't work as expected.

Any guidance or suggestions on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @kk_19, please explain the business process you'd like to get accomplish, not just technical implementation details. For outbound delivery, we do have APIs available (at api.sap.com) that appear to work well for most customers. "Updates" of outbound deliveries, what exactly do you mean by those? Lost shipments? Status changes during shipping? ASN might be covering situations like those if appropriate for the contractual obligation

"Updates" of outbound deliveries mean "Change of Item Quantity Data/Item Text".
Is this situation appropriate?
