Is there any way to change warning message to error message

Hi Experts,

We have been getting the warning message, "terms of payment to be changed;please check, message no.F5231, when posting the supplier invoice.

We are getting that warning if we provide any other payment term other than provided in supplier master data.So, we need to change that warning message to error message.

We are working on SAP public cloud. Please suggest us, how to change that warning message to error in public cloud.

Hi Prasad,

There is Configuration Node "Message Control". You can search it.

You have the possibility to change the message with this config. Please check if this works for you.

Note: Generally, it is not advisable to change the standard message.

Thanks for answering. I have checked configuration node "Message control", but in that node, did not show up the message "terms of payment to be changed;please check", message number 231 and application area F5.

I am not sure exactly in which configuration node this message is located. Please suggest any other configuration nodes available for the message control or Is there any way to trace that message in public cloud.

We also have the similar requirement to convert message no. 192 in application area F5. We have done the config in SSCUI 101923 but it doesn't work. It is not converted to error. However, this is working perfectly fine in on premise OBA5 T code. 

We have tried to do this from SSCUI 103887 but system is not opening application area F5 and showing error as enter a valid value within the allowed work area.

In our CBC, "message control " configuration node not available under accounting tab. Please refer below screenshot.

Is there any setting we need to do to add that configuration node ?

Hi Prasad,

All the messages are not shown there. You will have to create your messages considering your error. And then set it to switch off.

In Message control configuration, there is not option to add "new entries". So, it is not possible to create new entries. We can able to change only for whatever entries displaying there.Please refer the below screenshot. Please suggest, is there any way change the message to error.
