looks like our new cost center is not defaulting on the PO accounting document. Is there someplace I should have set-up a plant/cost center relationship?
Thanks in advance

Request clarification before answering.
You should be defaulting it with the cost element (g/l account) in OKB9 based on the account it is posting to in PO.

But this will not solve ur problem of defaulting to ur PO.

If u know which G/L account will be posted to in your PO, then u know the cost element. go to okb9. select option 1 - saying valuation area is mandatory. then select details and for that particular plant and the cost element you have got - can default the plant and cost element to the cost center. option 1 will work only if your valuation area = plant in the MM settings.
Hi Satya,
You cannot directly assign a Cost Center to a Plant. But indirectly yes. A Cost Center is assigned to a Profit Center, a Profit Center is assigned to Material Master and the Material Master to a Plant.
Hope this clarifies.

No. There is no relationship between Plant/ Cost center. Cost center is an object available under Controlling which is turn is assigned to a company code. There is np way that the cost center can be assigned to a Plant
