Dear experts,
Is there a way to get my scheduled preventive maintenance orders having basic start date at the beginning of the month and the basic finish at the end of the month? I plan to have this automated for all work orders.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Deepak,
Yes, you can get the order list from either IW38 or IW39
Or if you are using Fiori - Manage Order & Notification information center tile

Hi Sank_n,
Thank you for your response but this wasnt my issue, i should have been more descriptive.
I would like to schedule a maintenance plan such that i could set its basic start & basic finish dates 1 month apart. Upon some research on the community page i understand that we have options to set the maintenance plan scheduling type. We have --> Forwards, Backwards, Only capacity requirements, Current date, Forwards in time, Backward in time.
Which one of these do i choose? and in which T-code can i set these scheduling type as i do not see these option in IP01.
I have also learnt that we could set priorities for the scheduling type i.e Priority 1 with Relative Start 1 & Rel. end 10 Days; Priority 2 with Relative Start 1 & Rel. end 30 Days
How and where do i set these priorities?
HI Deepak, Yes, you are right. You need to configure the priority in OIO2 transaction. It will be set against the order type and when the orders are created and save, system will consider the date as 1 month apart.

M Terence, thank you for the guidance, i appreciate it.
Just to elaborate further on this topic so everyone can benefit;
Date Shifts maintained in the Priority do not come into play when you are scheduling Maintenance Plans.
To address this you can add float days as a follow up buffer in the maintenance package. Tested using a 30day float and the work order had a finish date 30 days from the start date.
Hi Deepak,
I guess my answer is incorrect to SAP behavior. Let me brief it.
When the Order is created through Maintenance plan, the priority is copied but the dates are not influenced, so the basic start and finish date will be based on the planned date in the scheduling.
In case if you need to have the dates based on your priority, you need to do an enhancement on Order Save, so when the order is saved, the date gets influenced. By standard, the planned date will be Basic Start date and finish date is calculated based on the scheduling parameter.
Typically, this behavior right, since the Order dates will be influenced based on scheduling parameters only.
As per SAP 332625, this functionality not available in standard,
Regards
Terence
